Refund Policy

The 14-day guarantee on your first payment, how renewals and credit packs are handled, and how to ask.

Last updated: [[DATE]]

In plain English: Paddle sells and bills Littview on our behalf, so refunds are issued through Paddle — but you should email us first at support@littview.com and we'll sort it out. If Littview isn't right for you, tell us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for; we don't automatically refund part-used periods, but we do look at genuine cases individually — a renewal you didn't notice and haven't used is exactly the kind of thing we'll refund. Please talk to us before filing a chargeback; it's slower for you and worse for us than just asking.

1. Who processes refunds

Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle") is our Merchant of Record. Paddle is the seller on your invoice, took the payment, and is the party that issues the refund back to your original payment method.

Practically: email us at support@littview.com — we handle the decision and instruct the refund. You can also contact Paddle directly through the link on your invoice or at paddle.net, where you can look up your purchase with your email address and the last four digits of your card.

Refunds are always returned to the original payment method. We can't refund to a different card, a bank transfer, or as account credit.

2. Subscriptions — the 14-day guarantee

If you're not happy with Littview Pro, email us within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full. No forms, no argument. We'd appreciate knowing what didn't work, but it isn't a condition.

This applies to your first subscription payment — monthly or annual — on an account.

3. Renewals, cancellation, and part-used periods

  • Cancelling is not the same as a refund. Cancelling stops the next charge. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for, and then move to the Free plan (Terms §7).
  • We don't automatically refund unused time. If you cancel mid-month or mid-year, the default is that you keep the access you paid for rather than get money back for it.
  • But ask us anyway. We refund renewals case by case, and we're not stingy about it. Cases we'll normally refund:
    • A renewal charged within the last 30 days that you didn't intend and haven't meaningfully used since.
    • Duplicate or accidental charges.
    • A Service failure on our side that materially prevented you from using what you paid for.
    • You cancelled but a renewal went through anyway because of a fault on our side. Cases we normally won't: a period you've used substantially, credits already spent, or "I forgot to cancel" beyond the window above where the period was actively used.
  • We email you before annual renewals so a year's charge is never a surprise.

4. Annual plans

Annual subscriptions are billed once for twelve months at $539 (one month free versus monthly).

  • The 14-day guarantee in §2 applies in full to a first annual payment.
  • After 14 days, an annual plan is not automatically refundable pro rata; §3 applies, including the renewal grace window.
  • You can switch between monthly and annual at any time from your account page. Paddle prices the switch and applies proration according to its own rules, and shows you the amount before you confirm. A switch is a billing change, not a refund.

5. Extra credit packs

Extra credits ($13 for 1,000 / $29 for 2,500) are one-time purchases that add to your wallet immediately, and are consumed only after each month's included allowance (Terms §8).

Our policy:

  • An unused pack is refundable within 14 days of purchase. "Unused" means the credits from that pack haven't been spent. When we refund a pack, we remove the corresponding credits from your balance — you can't keep both.
  • Credits already spent are not refundable. They paid for AI processing that was already performed and already cost us money.
  • Partly used packs are handled case by case; the usual outcome is no refund, because the pack has done what it was bought to do.
  • Expiry is not a refund event. Extra credits expire 12 months after your most recent extra-credit purchase, the clock runs on calendar time whether or not you're subscribed, and we warn you 30 days ahead by email and in the app (Terms §8). Expired credits aren't refunded — please spend them or let us know before they lapse.
  • Credits are not money. They have no cash value, can't be transferred between accounts, and can't be paid out.

6. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Paddle retries it over a short recovery window and we show a warning in the app. Nothing is charged twice, and a failed payment is never something you need to request a refund for. If payment isn't recovered, the subscription ends and the account moves to Free — your projects and data are not deleted (Terms §7).

7. How to request a refund

Email support@littview.com with:

  1. The email address on your Littview account.
  2. The order or transaction reference from your Paddle receipt (the emailed invoice, or via paddle.net).
  3. What you'd like refunded — subscription payment, or a specific credit pack.
  4. Briefly, why. Optional within the 14-day guarantee; helpful outside it, and genuinely useful to us either way.

What happens next: we reply within 7 business days. If approved, we instruct the refund through Paddle the same day, and Paddle returns the funds to your original payment method — typically within 3–10 business days, depending on your bank. Where a refund ends a paid subscription immediately, we'll say so before processing it, so the timing isn't a surprise.

8. What a refund means for your account and data

  • Refunding a subscription normally ends it — the account moves to the Free plan at that point rather than at the end of the period.
  • Your data is never deleted by a refund. Projects, references, PDFs, annotations, decisions and extracted data all stay, fully viewable and exportable. Free's limits then apply to adding new items (Terms §5, §7).
  • Refunding a credit pack removes those credits from your balance (§5).

9. Chargebacks

Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback takes weeks, is decided by parties who can't see your account, and typically ends with your Littview access suspended while it's resolved. Asking us takes a day and we usually just say yes.

We reserve the right to suspend or close accounts with repeated or fraudulent chargebacks, and to refuse further service to them.

10. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits any right you have under the law of your own country. In particular, consumers in the EU and UK generally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital services that start immediately, that right can be waived — and Paddle's checkout asks for exactly that consent so you can use Littview at once. Our 14-day guarantee in §2 is designed to give you the same outcome regardless, so you don't need to work out which applies.

If you're in Canada, consumer-protection law in your province may give you rights on contracts entered into at a distance — including, in some cases, the right to cancel if required information wasn't given to you before you bought. Nothing here replaces those rights.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes apply to purchases made after the update — the policy in force when you paid is the one that governs that payment. We'll update the "Last updated" date, and for material changes we'll give notice by email and/or in the app 30 days in advance.
